Hi, I’m Erica.
I help moms, dads, and parents of little ones navigate the early stages of parenting.
My Approach
Parenthood is wild! The ebbs and flows of parenting can be overwhelming, stressful, raw, exhilarating, deeply meaningful, and extremely humbling. Not only does our family structure evolve, but we are also in a state of personal growth and transformation. We often analyze our own relationships, attachment, patterns of behavior, self-worth, thoughts, and emotions.
I aim to provide an authentic space for self-exploration, personal growth, and transformation. My therapy style is grounded in trauma-informed care, mindfulness practices, cognitive behavioral interventions, EMDR, and a strengths-based approach. I am passionate about supporting perinatal individuals, postpartum people, and parents in the early stages of parenting navigate the huge transition of parenthood including postpartum anxiety and depression, parent guilt, the mental load of parenthood, and exploring your identity during this new phase of life. I also work with individuals trying to conceive, navigating infertility, and experiencing pregnancy loss.
I utilize culturally responsive and inclusive practices and provide a safe, non-judgmental space to process uncomfortable emotions, stress, and life challenges. I utilize a strengths-based, collaborative approach to support individuals in their ability to create goals and develop self-confidence to thrive in their lives.
Seeking support through therapy is a sign of personal strength and awareness. As your therapist, I will work collaboratively with you and provide practical tools to help you work toward your personal life goals.

About Erica
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia, an Approved Clinical Supervisor, and have my perinatal mental health certification through Postpartum Support International. I have a Masters in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago and a Bachelors of Liberal Arts in Sociology from DePaul University.
Providing high-quality care is my ultimate priority, which has led me to pursue training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), perinatal mental health, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), and clinical supervision.
I have 15 years of experience working with parents, children, and families in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, community mental health, residential treatment, crisis intervention, and schools.
I believe in the power of connection and aim to foster it in the therapy space. I value using a holistic and client-centered approach to therapy and want individuals to feel empowered to develop a deeper understanding of their emotional needs. I work to provide a safe and inclusive therapeutic space for all individuals by offering humor, validation, education, and practical approaches to improve daily functioning. I have a passion for helping birthing parents and partners process difficult thoughts and emotions that are present in parenthood, find support and hope, and experience contentment and joy in the journey of parenthood.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy practicing yoga, hiking, and having dance parties with my daughters.
